Sharon Voorhees

Sharon Voorhees received her education at the University of Oklahoma (B.Ac., 1978; J.D., with Honors, 1991), and began her practice in October, 1991. She is admitted to practice before all Oklahoma Courts, as well as the U.S. District Court, Western, Northern and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She is a member of the Order of the Coif, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Cleveland County Bar Association, and the South Oklahoma City Lawyer’s Association. Her primary areas of practice are Probate, Guardianship, Real Estate, Estate Planning, Collections, General Civil Litigation, Family Law, Commercial and Business Law, and Appeals.

Ms. Voorhees is active in her community as a volunteer. She was appointed by Governor Frank Keating in July, 2002, to the Board of Oklahoma Americorps on which she served until 2017. She was Chair of the Board for the years 2013-2014. Ms. Voorhees was appointed by the Mayor and City Council for Oklahoma City to the board of the Metropolitan Library Commission in October, 2014, and served in that capacity until April, 2017. Ms. Voorhees served as a Special Municipal Judge for the City of Oklahoma City from 1999 through 2017.

She is a member of the West Oklahoma City Rotary Club, and was President of the Rotary Club of South Oklahoma City for the year 2006-2007. She served as Chair of the District Simplified Grants Committee for Rotary District 5750 for three years.
